  • This book is an answer to prayer. If you are a woman in ministry (paid or volunteer) and have ever felt: -alone in your leadership development - the tension of balancing motherhood and your work - the struggle of a misplaced identity - the desire to cultivate community but don't know where to start... Sisters this book is for you. I am forever grateful for the words Melissa Mashburn has written to encourage women in their leadership.

  • If you are a ministry leader in any capacity you need to read this book. Melissa's heart for ministry and helping women in ministry find their way and their voice to follow God's calling on their life is such a blessing. This book has some great tips along with some great take aways for all who read it, men and women.

  • This book is GOLD! As a woman in ministry, I often feel misunderstood. In comes this book… written by a woman in ministry who gets it. She’s lived it and grown from it and has a real heart for helping others live it and grow from it. This book brings up the dirt but then fills your heart with scripture and stories and encouragement to help you not stay there. It’s practical in the best ways. I found myself journaling as I read and writing “yes!!!” in tons of places. This book is a for women in ministry, their leaders and pastors and really anyone who wants to grow as a disciple. It’s not a book that spends page after page debating egalitarianism vs complementarianism. It is not taking one side or another. It presents issues and then presents how we should think or work through things based on what the Bible says. Be encouraged to stay the course.

  • This book is a labor of love from someone who genuinely wants to see her sisters in ministry succeed. I have been in ministry for 18 years and have always desired to have a sister like her to run alongside. This book is not about what we do but about who we are and who we are becoming with the call to run wild - together - fighting against becoming anything more or less than who it is God designed us each uniquely to be. You will want all the pastors wives at your church and staff women to read and discuss this book together! Thank you Melissa for talking the talk and walking the walk and truly embodying what it means to celebrate one another unashamedly and pursue all God has for us personally and collectively. Let's go girls!

  • Being a female leader in any role within ministry is very complicated. Read this book and you will feel like you are sitting with a girlfriend who gets it and who doesn’t have a chip on her shoulder either. It’s a resource that is refreshing and developing at the same time.

  • Melissa’s years as a woman in ministry have led her to pour out her heart onto the pages within Ministry Chick. Her desire is to see women mobilized, equipped and encouraged to walk out the call God has given them as leaders in vocational ministry and this book is written to do just that. With practical tips, testimonies from women “in the trenches” and personal experience, Melissa reminds women they do not walk alone and that the call to lead is not dependent on the approval of man, but rather obedience to the Lord.
